Happy Anniversary - Love you more!

Wow, so nothing quite like a candlelit slow dance, with a nice set of music playing, as one layer after another comes off for an hour or so.   I mean dinner was nice too, but nothing quite like the slow dance.   :)   So one whole year is in the books, and I don’t care if it is SL or RL the feelings are the same, just the way we execute the moves is a lil different.  You have made me extremely happy, and I look forward to being even happier over the next 25 years.   Here’s to making the 25th as memorable as the first!!   We spent a lot of the night retelling our favorite moments, events, and transitions from the last year, and then speculating about the year to come.   Let’s just keep Disney as the script writer, and make sure the Wachowski brothers don’t buy any rights to it, and we will be just fine!

It’s been one year today since Hawks & I had our hammock talk (coming up in the next part of Our Story) - that means that we’ve officially been a couple for a whole YEAR! The first 7 months was purely SL. After that we entered RL to see if there was an “us” out there beyond the HawksRock & JellyBean. Lo & behold, the answer is “Yup!”

Dearest Hawks…

You have been the greatest thing that has ever happened in my SLife/Life. You gave me hope when I didn’t believe in it, inspiration when I was stuck, motivation when I felt lazy, initiative when I thought there was no cause, happiness in times I thought I’d never smile again, and in good times & bad (we’ve had some) you always stuck by me, even when I gave you an “out.” Thank you for who you are and what you mean to me. I love you more today than I did yesterday & I look forward to much more happiness with you!

Our Story - Part 2: Something more than friends

So as promised, here is the second installment in the how we met and fell in love story as told by the principal players.

HawksRock Gunawan: anywho… so is there anything else from the pre-item phase that you want to cover before we move on down the road?
JellyBean Madison: oh we should talk about how no matter which twin you were with, or who I was with - we had almost weekly dance sessions where we’d vent/discuss/bounce stuff of eachother

HawksRock Gunawan: WHAT?!?! is this some sort of revisionist history?
JellyBean Madison: What? we did! Until I got with Truth. He was always kinda bleh about such things
HawksRock Gunawan: I remember us starting with the class verses grunge challenges, which are coming up next, and we did talk constantly, but I don’t remember weekly dancing until we started dating each other.
JellyBean Madison: Well it wasn’t set weekly, but it kinda did happen that way. Think about it
JellyBean Madison: noooooooo
JellyBean Madison: I remmy that I thought I was finding a loophole. Remmy I didn’t fit *your* criteria
HawksRock Gunawan: correct, because you were married in RL at that time. and I wasn’t comfy with it
JellyBean Madison: and you were with the twins when we danced, and you talked about that stupid value system
HawksRock Gunawan: yes, but now we are getting ahead of ourselves just a bit, let’s back up and talk about the origin of the challenges first
JellyBean Madison: Oh okay. My bad, soz!
HawksRock Gunawan: The way I remmy it was that I asked you once if you had ever been to Phat Cats to dance (back when Phat cats was still a cool hole in the wall club rather than the entire sim it is today!) and you were like, newp. And then I invited you in for our first dance as friends.
JellyBean Madison: Right… and I think that was the first time you saw me formal’d up, wasn’t it? I had to hover on the outside of the sim until I could get in ’cause it was full.
HawksRock Gunawan: yup, cept you weren’t totally formalled up, it was more of a racy slit up the side tango number I believe… but yes you did have to wait outside. And then when you arrived, we danced, and you described how in all your time in SL you had never gotten a chance to see the “romantic hotspots” only the grunge or club scenes.
JellyBean Madison: right I never went “out” dancing anywhere except clubs, but not romantic and/or nice spots.
HawksRock Gunawan: so we talked about that a while, and then you got a better offer to go tringo with Eva and you poofed on me
JellyBean Madison: well, it was tringo AND we were only friends
HawksRock Gunawan: very true… haha
HawksRock Gunawan: but that led to us having discussions about how we both played SL totally different, and then…. drumroll please…. we came up with the idea of the Class/Romance verses Grunge challenges, but didn’t you have a cool name for those?
JellyBean Madison: Shit! Way to put me on the spot, I cannot even look it up since dirty monkey is offline. Just leave it at Grunge vs Class challenge
JellyBean Madison: lmao
HawksRock Gunawan: kk will do… lol
HawksRock Gunawan: in a nutshell, I would take you to all the romantic spots of SL that you had never seen, and you would introduce me to the underground scene.

HawksRock Gunawan: So as a test of your memory what was the first thing you invited me too?

JellyBean Madison: like… the Wastelands

JellyBean Madison: Wait that wasn’t first was it? I think we went to the Block
HawksRock Gunawan: I was thinking the first thing you invited me too was to play tank wars with your 132654687 friends that were playing at your place.
HawksRock Gunawan: remmy when you put me on skype with the whole crew for my first time using skype?
JellyBean Madison: Oh yah - but I thought you meant the first *us* time. I tote remmy my sim & the tank wars, skype & the bubble
JellyBean Madison: in fact, I have machinima of that bubble ride.
HawksRock Gunawan: yup, haha, that was something else… crazy times I would venture to say… but yes shortly after that we did do the Block next I think, and then the Wastelands, and Midian City, etc…
HawksRock Gunawan: I remember thinking I had to come up with something really special to match up with your adventures, which is when I decided to take you to Avilion for the first time. I sort of think on that as our “first date” type experience, even though we were still in the friend mode.
JellyBean Madison: Right… but you dressed me!
HawksRock Gunawan: I got the wild idea to buy you a formal dress, and spent like a week straight shopping for the woman who has everything to find something that I thought you would like that wouldn’t clash with your hair… lol.
JellyBean Madison: lmao yep!
HawksRock Gunawan: And I think I even gave you a diamond necklace to go with it if I remember.

JellyBean Madison: You did and a purse
HawksRock Gunawan: yes, I remember when you had to go home to dress with Aka, before I could come “pick you up”… lol
JellyBean Madison: lmao yes! And she was all “awwww *gag*”
HawksRock Gunawan: haha, of course. But then when you arrived, and I was like *mouth dropping to the floor* at how beautiful you looked, and of course Avilion just has a special magic to it anyways, but it was the first time we had a really long uninterrupted convo without any distractions.
HawksRock Gunawan: I think that night was a major turning point from friends to more…
JellyBean Madison: You’re right. We danced & IM’d
HawksRock Gunawan: Wasn’t that also the first time we slow danced verses just tango (which was our specialty dance forever and ever?)
JellyBean Madison: Omg! Yah! We always tango’d but I don’t think we ever tango’d at Avilion
HawksRock Gunawan: so basically I would describe this phase as the starting to fall hard for each other, but still not unattached phase… is that correct? lol
JellyBean Madison: yup! Well, wait - I think it took you longer than it took me :p
HawksRock Gunawan: yeah, well after you broke it off with Truth you went through your short lived gonna be single phase, and then moved into the oddball clingers on phase
HawksRock Gunawan: I was going through my trying to figure out if I could actually love someone who would sleep with more than one man phase… and it took me figuring out the answer was no, to be ready to move on.
JellyBean Madison: Right, well I think that was crazy anyways lol
HawksRock Gunawan: Yes, but that is the oversimplified version… of course
HawksRock Gunawan: So this is probably a good place to break off this installment right before the hammock talk, eh?
JellyBean Madison: oh yes! lol

Our story - Part 1: “He doesn’t make me tingle.”

So Jell and I have both been getting requests to tell “our story” about the move from SL friends, to Slovers, to SL partners, and now to RL relationship. I have debated for a while the best way to do this, so that it reflects our collective experience, and I settled on the following approach. Jell and I would just dialogue our memories, and then share the convo with you. Let me know if this format works for you, it for sure makes my blogging a lot easier… lol.

HawksRock Gunawan: So, my very first memory of you was when I first ventured to Tringo Rocks in my second week of being in SL, as I was just learning to play the game. You were seated about 4 rows behind me and surrounded by a posse of people. I don’t remember the specifics of how it got started, but I think by our second sentence to each other, we had everybody convinced we were cybering in IM, is that your recollection?
JellyBean Madison: Lmao yah but I thought it was at Bad Azz
HawksRock Gunawan: , nope it was totally at the Rocks, I remember that for sure.
JellyBean Madison: you were a couple rows up back when they had the platform & I was back on it
JellyBean Madison: ok if u say so
HawksRock Gunawan: believe me I remmy that one… haha
JellyBean Madison: lol kay
HawksRock Gunawan: glad it was as memorable for you, as it is for me…
JellyBean Madison: LMFAO
JellyBean Madison: hey I remmy you being the new tringo meat
JellyBean Madison: specifics are just specifics, have u met me?
HawksRock Gunawan: So I basically remember a bunch of sexual banter back and forth, and then you rated me positively back when we could still do ratings. (Which I later learned was one way you came onto guys, which makes me nervous since you had given out about 168487543257 ratings.)
JellyBean Madison: lmfao this is true. It was a great ice breaker & I only rated those worth the 25L
HawksRock Gunawan: sweet, so me and my 16848754326 compadres say, thank you!

HawksRock Gunawan: haha, so moving on from that initial meeting, my first memories are just of seeing you at Tringo fairly regularly, and we kept up a sort of playful flirtation while we were playing, which of course grew into fierce competition, cuz we both have such HUGE competitive streaks.
HawksRock Gunawan: Unfortunately in those early days you were kicking my ass about 99% of the time… *tear*
JellyBean Madison: i had a crush on you though which i tried playing off
HawksRock Gunawan: Where were you at guy wise, weren’t you still with kaejo then?
JellyBean Madison: yup
HawksRock Gunawan: I was in my discovering the twins phase, where we were all hanging out constantly.
HawksRock Gunawan: My next really strong memory was when you sent me your, “Lights, Camera, Action” pic

JellyBean Madison: yuh and i was trying to find things to im you with when you were missing from tringo
HawksRock Gunawan: I really liked that one…
JellyBean Madison: I was proud of that one
HawksRock Gunawan: You and I moved more and more into constant IM convo’s when we were apart, and also regular Tringo adversaries, since we were playing Tringo at least a couple of hours every day, back when Bad Azz was still the place to play.
HawksRock Gunawan: Within a month, I think you had dubbed me as the “one who didn’t make you tingle.”
JellyBean Madison: I remmy trying to go every time you hosted and I would purposely try to wear something outrageous or at least well put together so you’d comment & I’d know you cammed over lol
JellyBean Madison: yup! seriously you couldn’t hold all the cards. pshaw!
HawksRock Gunawan: mmhhmm, I very much remember those days… when you were always dressed to the hilt, with about a million prim’s of accessories
JellyBean Madison: One thing I never did was go after the guy all the girls wanted, I hate that type of competition and that was YOU as the new tringo meat
JellyBean Madison: so letting you know that every time i saw you and we talked made me tingle wasn’t an option
HawksRock Gunawan: yes, but I think that introducing me to all your friends as the guy who didn’t make you tingle, might have been taking it a step too far…
JellyBean Madison: mayhapsibly but that was for your benefit not theirs. They knew already that I was going to eventually try to lick you. It didn’t take you too long to realize that Aka & Rosie know EVERYTHING
HawksRock Gunawan: Well Aka was the one always telling me in IM, that you DID like me, even if SHE didn’t understand why…
JellyBean Madison: lol thats my smoopy
HawksRock Gunawan: first and foremost though we were both becoming great friends first. I talked you through the KO breakup, and then the whole Truth up and down saga, while you were there whenever I wanted to bounce something off you that I was going through with the twins.
JellyBean Madison: Oh my gosh! I almost forgot about our dance sessions
HawksRock Gunawan: that is still coming up, I think… cuz wasn’t the pink chair first?
JellyBean Madison: Yes, I believe so
HawksRock Gunawan: that time I jumped in the chair with you at Tringo, was the first time we came into close proximity, and felt the KAZAAAAM spark hit, and wreck my tringo game to hell.
JellyBean Madison: hahaha and the minute you sat there, your “girlfriends” from tringo started getting jealous and my chair filled up

HawksRock Gunawan: actually that was a later time… the very first time it was just you and me. You did that experiment intentionally later on to MAKE em jealous
